The Field 6 Story
Field 6 is by far the most popular location in the park. With its convenient ocean front parking and location at the beginning of the 2 mile "health walk", field 6 is often crowded even in the late fall and winter months.
On a weekend during the summer season, a visitor must arrive before 9 AM to avoid the dreaded "Field 6 filled" signs that greet the motorist at the park's entrances.

Beach Bums
There are many denizens of the Field 6 Concession Building during all seasons, and these regulars enjoy both the sun and each others company. Among the regulars are the Jones Beach "Beach Bums" who frequent the Field 6 Concession Building year round.
